Velvet Vanity Liquid Lipstick : Review

I ripped it apart immediately I got my hand on this

Assalamualaikum and hello lovelies ♡

Wow, it's such a long time since I blog anything right? Well, due to no inspirations and lack of time since I am quite busy with my part time job. No time to even open the blog and check any updates! Well, fear not because I'm back with another review of a lip product called Velvet Vanity. Familiar with that brand? If you an avid lover of lipstick and supporting local brands you might know this brand quite well.

This brand is actually quite new to the industry as it just launched in 2016 and a proudly homegrown brand. (Support local peeps!) It claims to be 100% vegan and cruelty free which is a good thing because nowadays people are slowly realising how important that label for our vegan friends. Before this, VV only offers limited colours but now they are starting to release new shades to pick! (Excited af. ) Now they are promoting two shades which are Peach Perfect and Smash Hit for their 'Princess Of China' campaign and the colour is to die for and that's where I couldn't hold myself to buy it! Seriously, I was in dilemma wether to buy the bundle or not.......

So yeah, all of a sudden there's a parcel arrive at my house. Wow, what a shocker.
Before this, I only have one VV lipstick and it's in the shade cheap trills. Mind you that is the perfect nude colour for my tan skin. Now I decided to purchase the latest bundle to add in to the collection and I can't wait to share with you the swatches! At first, I thought that Cheap Trills is enough for me so far, but by looking at all the pics on their Instagrams.... It kills me how beautiful they are.

I love the tiffany blue on their packaging so much because nowadays, black sleek packaging is been use by like almost every brand in this local industry but instead, this brand portrays a fun packaging on it. The material of the tube is glass with a plastic cap. I'm fine with the packaging so far.

It stays true to it name, very velvety texture! The application glides smoothly and my lips feel very hydrating through out the day. It dries out satin but will slowly turn to matte but in the early application, they do transfer a lil' bit but not too much. Seriously, no drying effect or anything because fyi, I have dry lips and can easily turn into the Sahara desert instantly. -__-' But not with Velvet Vanity! The colour do worn out slowly due to eating or oily food but it fades out beautifully. It leaves out a pretty stain on the lips though.

Hydrolyzed Candelilla Wax, Copernicia (Carnauba) Wax, Mica, Tocopheral Acetate, Organic Jojoba Oil, Cold-pressed Coconut Oil, Flavor, Olive Oil, Cocoa Butter Glycerin (Vegan), Rose Wax

The best and the comfiest liquid lipstick I've tried so far and the colours fit perfectly with my tan skin. I love how the shades they produce are carefully picked so that they can suits all skin tones. As a tan skin myself, finding a nude lipstick is quite hard as I don't want to look too pale but at the same time, I'm not too keen of the bright or darker colours on my lips but VV creates it perfectly. Top notch guys, hope you come out with more new amazing shades!

Price: RM59.00
Size: 0.2 oz / 6ml
Place to buy: ShopVelvetVanity or their authorised sellers.

Days In Darwin

Thursday, May 04, 2017

Apparently I didn't photograph much in Darwin sadly due to weather over there. There's a day I took a walk and suddenly it rains. The heatness over there is... much more than Malaysia and I was surprised. Before I came to Darwin, I actually thought that I could take up weather over there but I completely lost. The air-conditioning in the room is much more fun. #notproductiveenough Props to whoever living there tho! Anyway, I love how blue the seas are and sadly I couldn't swim at the beaches are fill with Mr. crocodiles and jellyfish. Boohoo. :(

We also went for the Anzac Parade and truthfully when they marched the road, I can feel their emotions and spirit along the parade. Almost teared me up actually but I'm a strong girl darl! Personally, I see Darwin as a lovely city and if you a boat cruisers, you will pretty much love here. There are many cruisers there and the house with the sea view is just gorg. #richpeoplegoals Anyway, that's all from my trip here. Adios lovelies ♡

Have you been to Darwin before?

Top Sources That Help Me Choose My Post-SPM

Saturday, April 22, 2017

      Assalamualaikum and hello lovelies!

Hello to all the SPM leavers! Well, I guess it is still not too late for me to suggest what I was using to choose my pathway in next education. I scroll on my twitter and I noticed that there are some of my juniors that still thinking what's next for them in future. For international viewers who doesn't know what is SPM, it is an acronym from Sijil Peperiksaan Malaysia (Malaysian Certificate of Education) which we will take in Form 5 (normally 17 years old) and after finishing it, the results are out and bla bla bla. It's college/university life!

These are a few sites I found during my research period:

This site guides me a lot because it discuss the topic like which pre-u you choose, gov or private, scholarship or self-fund? I also love the visuals and the content of this website as it is very friendly to attract the SPM leavers to pay a visit. It also offer a quiz to know which path suit us the best and it making it less stressful in finding college.  Never know finding a college could be fun and their service are also free of charge guys. Who offer knowledge for free right now? Go check them out guys :)

This is another option I go to if EduAdvisor didn't quite satisfied me (xD). This site is not as fun and cheerful as EduAdvisor because it shows a little more maturity in the layout and all but also provide full knowledge of the education! This site also shows  a little more in depth of each universities as you can click on your choice of unis and search if there's any availability of your fav course. It also offers personal counselor for tips and advice for your next path. This sites helps me a lot though!

Lukman Khiruddin
Well, this isn't exactly a website but it still a source. SPM leavers usually rely on his tweets as he always done threads on how to search for scholars or guide101 to universities. He also created a hashtag to compile all his tweets related to the topic using #schol101. He guide you one by one and also sometimes answer clueless question from viewers, but that's knowledge right?

There are also other sources I used but these are the top 3 that help guided me all the way. Feel free to comment any preferred sites to do searches! Good luck to all the SPM leavers if you are having any interview or whatsoever. Remember, course doesn't define you and choose where your passion is at. Please also be independent and do more research if you are quite unsure of anything. Google is your friend after all.

p.s. Still obsessed with Lana and Abel song! Loveeee

Which one to choose?

TREND: Muslimah Friendly Off Shoulder Trend

Wednesday, April 19, 2017

       Assalamualaikum and hello lovelies!

So I can see that there are certain trends that speculates around across my instagram timeline and one of it that I'm going to show you guys is the off shoulder trend that have been modestly transform it ways from our local muslimah fashionistas! Personally for me, off shoulder top is kinda sexy but elegant at the same time because it shows you a little bit of skin but at the same time looking beautifully dress up. It kind of a little bit fun touch up to our outfit but obviously we as a muslim cannot do that ehem, skin showing is a no go. Haram sis haram.

Well there's no kind of obstacle for our muslimah fashionistas and models out there as they show us where to go with the trend. Here are some example that I thinks pull of the trend!

Nisha Ezzati @nishxnish

Always love her style as it always on point!

Vivy Yusof @vivyyusof
Of course I got to include one of the Malaysian's fashionpreneur which is Vivy who managed to pull off almost every fashion trend and her outfit are always on point. Of course the off shoulder trend is a must to try for Ms Vivy.

Nabeela Fadzil @lipstickmyname
Gorgeous Nabeela really pull off the trend by showcasing different kind of off shoulder (you can check out her ig for more of her trendy styles!)

FaaFirds @faafirds
This lovely Malaysian youtuber always go beyond fashion and always looking good. Btw, she's going to get married soon! Congrats :)

Well that are my top pick for this trend and mind you that I'm not a professional in fashion or anything. This is just for fun and this is just my personal preference for these four girls that carry this trend nicely. This is also a fun way to spice up your outfit of the day. Go follow them also as their ootd's are the bomb! Check them out guys.

I think that's all for today. Sorry for the long hiatus guys and oh do you guys hear the brand new song from Lana Del Rey and The Weeknd?! Obsessed over it already ♡

Brave enough to wear this trend?
