First Impression: Arome Floral Perfume Lip Scrub by Watson

Sunday, August 20, 2017

Assalamualaikum and hello guys! How are you doing?  I know that it has been a long time I didn't post anything... (forgive me please) but fear not, I'm back with a first impression of a lip scrub. I've been a long time fan of Lush lip scrub but due to no Lush store in Malaysia and Lush can get quite expensive if you purchase regularly. (I have my budget too!) So I got to search for an alternative for a student like me T_T

I dropped by Watsons and quickly grabbed it as soon as I saw it hanging on the shelves. Been wanting to try this for a quite few times now and finally I have.

As you can see it has a mouthful ingredients to compare with my previous lip scrubs that only have minimal ingredients which is like, sugar... and other essential oils. (natural issit) Sooo, I tried the lip scrub and I expected it to be of course, sugary like above my lips but no, it is quite gentle and kind of not edible? Because I try to taste it and it end up taste like... soap. I don't like it. What the meaning of lip scrub if it's not edible? (xD) Kiddin' hehe.

Well, it doesn't feel satisfying as much than Lush lip scrub but I do sense a bit of exfoliation when I use it. I don't know why but when I wet it with water it tends to foam up, is it like that? The term I mean. Because it taste like soap (wth 😂) So I used this few times and surprisingly, despite of the soap taste it works quite well! It also works in removing lip products also. I was surprised actually when it actually did remove the lipstick because I expect it to not work tho. My lips also didn't dry up after using it because I always experience dry lips when I use Lush' lip scrub and it bothers me quite a bit.... Good job Watsons!

4/5 stars! Lost one stars due to the taste.... I still feel like I was licking some kind of poisonous substance 😂

Only at Watsons with a retail price: RM22.90 (I got it on sale hehe)

What's your fav lip scrub?

Velvet Vanity Liquid Lipstick : Review

Tuesday, June 06, 2017

I ripped it apart immediately I got my hand on this

Assalamualaikum and hello lovelies ♡

Wow, it's such a long time since I blog anything right? Well, due to no inspirations and lack of time since I am quite busy with my part time job. No time to even open the blog and check any updates! Well, fear not because I'm back with another review of a lip product called Velvet Vanity. Familiar with that brand? If you an avid lover of lipstick and supporting local brands you might know this brand quite well.

This brand is actually quite new to the industry as it just launched in 2016 and a proudly homegrown brand. (Support local peeps!) It claims to be 100% vegan and cruelty free which is a good thing because nowadays people are slowly realising how important that label for our vegan friends. Before this, VV only offers limited colours but now they are starting to release new shades to pick! (Excited af. ) Now they are promoting two shades which are Peach Perfect and Smash Hit for their 'Princess Of China' campaign and the colour is to die for and that's where I couldn't hold myself to buy it! Seriously, I was in dilemma wether to buy the bundle or not.......

So yeah, all of a sudden there's a parcel arrive at my house. Wow, what a shocker.
Before this, I only have one VV lipstick and it's in the shade cheap trills. Mind you that is the perfect nude colour for my tan skin. Now I decided to purchase the latest bundle to add in to the collection and I can't wait to share with you the swatches! At first, I thought that Cheap Trills is enough for me so far, but by looking at all the pics on their Instagrams.... It kills me how beautiful they are.

I love the tiffany blue on their packaging so much because nowadays, black sleek packaging is been use by like almost every brand in this local industry but instead, this brand portrays a fun packaging on it. The material of the tube is glass with a plastic cap. I'm fine with the packaging so far.

It stays true to it name, very velvety texture! The application glides smoothly and my lips feel very hydrating through out the day. It dries out satin but will slowly turn to matte but in the early application, they do transfer a lil' bit but not too much. Seriously, no drying effect or anything because fyi, I have dry lips and can easily turn into the Sahara desert instantly. -__-' But not with Velvet Vanity! The colour do worn out slowly due to eating or oily food but it fades out beautifully. It leaves out a pretty stain on the lips though.

Hydrolyzed Candelilla Wax, Copernicia (Carnauba) Wax, Mica, Tocopheral Acetate, Organic Jojoba Oil, Cold-pressed Coconut Oil, Flavor, Olive Oil, Cocoa Butter Glycerin (Vegan), Rose Wax

The best and the comfiest liquid lipstick I've tried so far and the colours fit perfectly with my tan skin. I love how the shades they produce are carefully picked so that they can suits all skin tones. As a tan skin myself, finding a nude lipstick is quite hard as I don't want to look too pale but at the same time, I'm not too keen of the bright or darker colours on my lips but VV creates it perfectly. Top notch guys, hope you come out with more new amazing shades!
